Hellas installed Matrix Helix® synthetic turf, Ecotherm® infill and a Cushdrain® below the surface at Tulane University's Yulman Stadium. The Matrix Helix turf has shape memory technology added during the manufacturing process, which twists each monofilament fiber and secures the infill. The Green Wave will be on a turf surface up to 30 degrees cooler than traditional infill products. Ecotherm infill requires no water and is made from recycled vinyl TPS plus cellulose fibers by Hellas. The Cushdrain installed by Hellas will increase shock absorption providing a safer sports playing surface, while also allowing for superior drainage.
